Machinage Gagné is seeking a team leader for its CNC Milling and Turning department.

Founded in 1939 on the principle that no project is too big or too small, Machinage Gagné offers highly skilled turnkey services, including CNC machining, welding, fabrication, gear repair, and sharpening. The company handles a wide range of repair and production work and continually adds new state-of-the-art CNC machines to better serve its customers. Machinage Gagné is known for its quick turnaround, quality service, and precision manufacturing.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Program using Mastercam software the G code that will be used for machining, 3, 4, and 5 axes.
  • Optimize tool paths and ensure the correct machining strategy to be used.
  • Delegate projects among machinists based on their experience and competence.
  • Provide training on Mastercam software.
  • Manufacture any type of jig and fixture for proper workpiece fixation.

The profile we’re looking for:

  • DEC in Mechanical Engineering or ASP in CNC Machining.
  • 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of blueprint reading.
  • Experience in metrology.
  • Advanced knowledge of Mastercam software.
  • Knowledge of G code.
  • Good knowledge of mechanical adjustment.
  • Good knowledge of high-speed machining techniques.
  • An asset: knowledge of MCOSMOS software; knowledge of 3D printing; knowledge of FANUC controller; knowledge of SIEMENS 840D controller; knowledge of SOLIDWORKS or Mastercam 3D drawings.

Your working conditions:

  • Permanent, full-time position – day shift from Monday to Thursday from 7:00 am to 4:30 pm and Friday from 7:00 am to 12:00 pm.

Main tasks

Our machining workshop is looking for an office clerk to join our dynamic team of 30 workers. The candidate should have the following skills: teamwork, effective phone communication, autonomy, initiative, and stress management. Main tasks: answer phone calls, manage quotations (follow-up and filing), handle customer order reception, create delivery notes in Acomba, handle invoicing, purchase orders, and make calls to customers. Calculate completed files and enter data into the system (Excel) and perform other related tasks.

Requirements and working conditions

The candidate must have a Diploma of Vocational Studies (DEP), a College Diploma (DEC), or an AEC in Accounting and Management, as well as more than one year of experience in the field.

Skills Description: The selected candidate must have a good knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook), the ability to manage multiple files simultaneously, proficiency in French (oral + written), proficiency in English (an asset), and proficiency in Acomba software (an asset).

We are looking for a long-term candidate seeking a secure and rewarding job, working 34 hours per week. Schedule: Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, and Fridays from 8:00 AM to noon. Group insurance (employer covers 60%) and Social Club.
